Band of Burns – I feature in this project as a singer, collaborator and cellist. The band is touring in January 2018, with shows at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, the Union Chapel in London, and Bristol’s Colston Hall. For tour information please follow the link to the band website.

“Shimmering collection of covers, traditional songs and original pieces that does full justice to the poet’s humane vision.” – Sunday Times

“Centered on arresting new versions of classic Burns songs, the band’s material also takes in original compositions and instrumental sets, delivered by an array of compelling vocalists, together with fiddle, bagpipes, and rhythm section. Their crowdfunded debut album, Live at the Union Chapel, thrillingly captures the magic of that triumphant London première.” – Celtic Connections

Nick Hart and Dominie Hooper – Traditional English folk songs, lush harmonies, a massive guitar.

“Nick Hart & Dominie Hooper are an exciting new duo appearing on the folk scene for 2017. Having both spent years refining their own crafts, they come together to present traditional English folk songs collected from and between their respective homes of Dartmoor and East Anglia. With stunningly clear vocal harmonies and the exquisite accompaniment of Nick’s subtle, finger-picked guitar, they give fascinating and refreshing insights into the often obscured genre of English Traditional Song.”

SESSION WORK:

I am available as a session singer and able perform in a number of styles depending on the requirements of the project. I started my vocal training at the age of nine, and as well as being a lead vocalist, I have worked extensively as a singer in a number of supporting roles. I have always paid great attention to the complex requirements of harmony singing, with emphasis on tone-matching, phrasing and dynamics.

If you would like to talk to me about a project, please get in touch via the contact page.
